IMPORTANT UPDATE - the voting of the Ley Sinde law has been postponed till February 23 - so the attack will probably NOT start January 16 - everyone is still invited to join #hispano that day though, so we can talk about further strategy for this operation.
Join us on the IRC - irc.anonops.ru #hispano
Recruiting starts on January 16, 18 o'clock CET (Central European Time = GMT + 1)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Free-thinking citizens of the world,
This January 18th, the Spanish Senate will decide whether or not to pass the well-known "Ley Sinde". This new law implies that the Spanish government will be able to univocally shut down any website that contains one or more links to files that are 'protected' under copyright laws. The law will enable the Spanish government to do this without any judicial intervention or legal verdict. By adopting this law, the Spanish government would not only restrict the fundamental rights of it's own citizens, it would also be committing an evident act of censorship.
As we have made abundantly clear by now, ANONYMOUS can and will not let this happen.
That is why ANONYMOUS has decided to act upon the call from it's Spanish friends to help them in a DDoS-attack against their government, so as to pressure the Spanish Senate into rejecting the "Ley Sinde". This attack will start on January 16, 18 o'clock Central European Time - and will last for three days until the Senate has cast its vote on censorship.
Come fight with us, so that the Spanish people can continue to enjoy their basic right on Internet freedom. Go to irc.anonops.ru - channel #hispano - from January 16, 18 o' clock on - and be charging them lazers !
For YOU are ANONYMOUS !
Together we are legion !
Knowledge is free !
